Choose from the following materials:


• Stainless Steel Our stock stainless steel tag sizes are

   1”x2”, 1”x3” and 1.5” round.  Each of these comes with a

   single hole in them for mounting.


• Aluminum can be either bare or anodized.

• Anodized Aluminum is available in an array of 

   colors such as Gold, Black, Silver, Red, Green and Blue.

    These colors are available in the following thicknesses,

   .020”, .025”, .040” and .050”, the most common

   thickness is .020”. Anodized aluminum can also be

   engraved leaving a black mark upon request.


• DuraBlack®  is a special type of aluminum material

   used to provide a durable mark for harsh operating

   environments. DuraBlack® outperforms black anodized

   aluminum and is resistant to sunlight (UV-radiation),

   abrasion, high-temperatures, salt-spray and chemical

   exposure. Because of its ability to perform across a

   range of challenging environments, DuraBlack® meets

   several government, industrial and military

   specifications.

• AlumaMark® is specialized aluminum that provides

   a black mark on brass, silver, gold, and an array of

   colored backgrounds. AlumaMark® is .020” thick and is

   primarily used indoor but can be used outdoor as well

   once a protective clear coat is applied.

Stainless steel and aluminum tags/plates can be custom made to your specifications, any shape or size up to 12” x 24”.


Most metals we engrave are stainless steel (304 & 316 grade) and aluminum.

Mounting Methods

We offer several types of mounting. Here is a list of the most common types of mounting methods:

  1. Double sided tape (we use high quality 3M tape). This tape (467MP & 468MP) adheres extremely well to smooth clean surfaces.
  2. Stainless steel ball chain for hanging tags. Works well for hanging tags onto devices.
  3. Stainless steel tie wraps (we can also supply the required installation tool upon request) generally used for attaching a tag to pipe.
  4. Stainless steel “bend and stay” wire, most common thickness is 0.020” thick and the wire is generally 12” long, this works very well for hanging tags onto devices. There are other thicknesses available as well. We can also twist this wire onto the tag for you upon request.
  5. We can supply aluminum nameplate holders for wall mount or desktop as well that is available in a variety of colors.
