Mounting methods
We offer several types of mounting. Here is a list of the most common types of mounting methods:

Double sided tape (we use high quality 3M tape). This tape (467MP & 468MP) adheres extremely well to smooth clean surfaces.
Stainless steel ball chain for hanging tags. Works well for hanging tags onto devices.
Stainless steel tie wraps (we can also supply the required installation tool upon request) generally used for attaching a tag to pipe.
Stainless steel “bend and stay” wire, most common thickness is 0.020” thick and the wire is generally 12” long, this works very well for hanging tags onto devices. There are other thicknesses available as well. We can also twist this wire onto the tag for you upon request.
We can supply aluminum nameplate holders for wall mount or desktop as well that is available in a variety of colors.

FRONT ENGRAVED is where the text is exposed and you can actually feel the text as you rub your fingers across the surface.

REVERSE ENGRAVED is where the text has a layer of transparent plastic protecting it (as if it were laminated) and you can’t feel the text as it is a smooth surface due the engraving being done from the back side and then is paint filled to the desired color.

COLOR* CHART:

There are many color combinations available for either style of material. There is plastic that looks like metal (has a brushed look) and plastic that looks like wood. There is even a “glow in the dark” material for emergency exit signs, etc.

We use the best plastics in the industry. The plastics that we stock are rated for outdoor use so rest assured that you will be receiving high quality nameplates that will last.

The most common thickness is 1/16” but basic colors will be available in 1/32” and 1/8” thicknesses as well.
